Zeta Beta Chapter History
The absence of Latino culture was becoming more noticeable at the University of West Georgia. More Latino students began to enroll into the university; however, something desperately needed to be done to invoke the presence of Latino culture and to pave the way for the future of Latinos at the university, especially that of Latino women.
A motivated young lady embarked on a mission to find a way to improve the campus environment. She began to research Latino organizations and found Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated. She fell in love with the sorority and everything for which the organization stands. Lambda Theta Alpha was exactly what the University of West Georgia needed to begin the process of change.
The young lady began to share her knowledge with others, which resulted in the formation of an interest group of twelve dedicated women. These ladies applied themselves to the mission of bringing Lambda Theta Alpha to UWG and finally became the "Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc." in the Fall of 2013. Soon the interest group of twelve grew to thirty women all striving to achieve the same goal. During the Fall semester of 2013, these ladies worked diligently to establish a good relationship with the University and the sorority. Through several service projects and fundraisers, they were able to do just that.
The following semester these ladies were informed that they were approved and ready to charter at UWG.After much dedicated effort and unwavering perseverance, Ten strong, diverse women emerged as sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha, becoming the Founders of "The Eternal Supremacy".
On April 12, 2014, the Zeta Beta Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated was charted at the University of West Georgia. Lambda Theta Alpha would change the lives of these young women and will change the lives of many more to come.

To develop strong leaders who will then provide and practice political, social and cultural activities. Promote unity through charitable and educational programs. Maintain a higher standard of learning and serve as a voice for all students.
